Q: How is Med-e-Forms different from the PDF form that I am currently using in my office? A: Med-e-Forms allows both the provider and patient to fill out the form on the computer, e-mail the data and the store it on your computer. From there, it can be easily accessed and forms can even be forwarded to other healthcare providers or insurance carriers. This allows for a simply and immediate transmission of documents. Insurance claims can be processed faster this way. Q: Is Med-e-Forms compatible with the software that I am currently using in my office? A: Med-e-forms is compatible with any of your existing software. It functions just like any other PDF or Word Document. You can simply open the form, save it and securely store it. It is really simple. Just create a folder on your desktop and save the data there. Q: Do we need a special server to handle the documents? A: No, just keep using your regular computer the way you have been. No changes necessary. A: Tablet PC’s are not required. You can continue using your current computer. No changes necessary. Q: Will the patient need any special software to fill out the form? A: No, Patients use the free Adobe Reader to fill out the form. This is the industry standard and most people already have Adobe Reader on their computer. If not, they can always download it for free and we will be happy to provide you with a link as well. Q: Do Healthcare Providers need to purchase additional software to use Med-e-Forms? A: It depends. If a healthcare provider simply wants to view, fill out, and print the documents then the answer is no. The free Adobe Reader will be sufficient. For additional features such as receiving documents via e-mail and saving the medical records on your computer the purchase Adobe Acrobat Professional will be necessary. Q: Can I use Med-e-Forms in my private practice? A: Absolutely! Since it is so easy to use it is perfect for privately owned clinic’s. You do not need to change your existing software, or even the way you do business, just use Med-e-Forms in addition to your current software. Q: Can I give you my existing forms and could you convert them for us into the electronic format? A: Sure. At Med-e-Forms, we create new forms for our customers on a daily basis . Just e-mail or fax us your existing forms and we can convert them to fillable and electronic format for you. Q: I like your Ready-Made Templates, would it be expensive to make slight modifications? A: Not really, just inform us which fields you would like to have removed or modified and we will change it for you for only a small fee. Q: How can I post the the new Med-e-Forms on my website? A: Sure, We often work with website developers. We can give them your new form and they can upload it to your website. The process is very simple and it can be posted immediately. Q: How often can the form be used? Are there additional or hidden fee’s in the future? A: We guarantee unlimited usage for all of our Med-e-Forms Products. Once you purchase a template it becomes yours. No other fee’s apply. You can use it for all your patients as many times as you like. Q: How will I receive the form and how does it get installed on my computers? A: Once the form is completed we will e-mail the template to you. You can then save it on your computer and start using it immediately. Save it like any other Word or PDF document. Q: How long will it take until I receive my Med-e-Form Template? A: Generally speaking, if you purchase our Ready-Made forms it will take 1-3 business days for us to place your logo and any other company information onto the form itself. For custom made orders we ask our clients to e-mail us the forms they are currently using, so we can give you a better time frame. Most custom orders will be completed within a week. Completion time may vary depending upon the size and complexity of the form. Q: Is it secure to e-mail patient data over the internet? A: Yes it is. In actuality, only the data is sent, not the entire form. So if someone does not have the form template they will not know what to do with the information provided. Once the Healthcare Provider receives the data via e-mail, it can be easily imported into the Med-e-Forms template and you can then store it on your computer. Q: Can I remove the e-mail button, if I do not want the forms to be e-mailed to me? A: Of course, we can remove it for you. Some Healthcare providers ask their patients to download the forms via the internet, fill them out online and print them. Once the patient reaches your office, he/she will be ready for a consultation instead of spending time filling out paperwork. Whenever we create a Med-e-Form Template for our customers, we actually create two forms. One contains an e-mail button, the other one does not. So you can choose which one you would like to use.
